Genesys News: Apple Announces Beta Biz Chat Integration

Apple announced its Business Chat service is available for beta testing in the United States, opening up a new avenue for Genesys customers to directly communicate with consumers. Business Chat will allow users to ask a question about a product or service, or make a purchase using Apple Pay. When searching for a business in Maps, Safari, Search or Siri, on iPhone and iPad, users will see the option to contact the business using Messages, and they can continue conversations with Apple Watch or Mac.

Here is a statement from Genesys that you can drop into any coverage you may plan:

“We are in the midst of a paradigm shift in how consumers choose to communicate with businesses, which will only continue to accelerate as the rising generation of digital natives rate speed and convenience over everything else,” said Merijn te Booij, chief marketing officer at Genesys. “We’re delighted that Apple Business Chat is available to brands that work with Genesys. Soon, it will be easier than ever for iPhone and iPad users to start a conversation with a business via the Messages app where and when it’s most convenient for them.”

If you’re interested in learning more about Genesys support for Asynchronous messaging, let me know and I’ll coordinate a briefing with an executive from the company in the coming days.
